Meet Our Team

It takes a group of dedicated and compassionate people to run a nonprofit rescue animal organization.  We're very proud of our volunteer Board of Directors, as well as our tireless "sanctuary grounds" and various "behind the scenes" volunteers that assist us in many different aspects.  We couldn't do our important, life-saving work without them!

We're always looking for additional support, so please refer to our Volunteer page to learn more about the various ways you can help us and our mission.  We'd LOVE to work with you!

Lisa Crawford
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Lisa has been involved in animal rescue, with a focus on cats, for over 30 years while living in Texas and in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is passionate about improving the lives of ALL animals in need, and has provided TNR, medical care, outdoor shelter, daily food & water, and her devotion to the hundreds of homeless cats she's been a caretaker of.  She strives to educate the public regarding the plight of homeless cats in the hopes that positive initiatives will soon be implemented by all communities, ultimately creating positive outcomes all around.

Lisa currently resides in rural east Texas and is focused on managing and maintaining Mission Possible's 2-acre cat sanctuary and its 85 furry residents.  She shares her loving home with some of the cats she had rescued as kittens. (Too many to mention!)

Leanne Mackenzie
Vice President & Communications

Leanne has over 30 years of executive administrative experience in various industries.  In 2008, she volunteered her graphic design and event planning skills to a no-kill, low cost spay/neuter cat shelter in the San Francisco Bay Area where she learned of the vital importance of naturally reducing the over-population of unwanted cats utilizing TNR.  She is honoured to be a member of Mission Possible and being able to continue communicating the importance of this humane and life-saving measure, in addition to other nationwide homeless cat care initiatives.

Leanne is back in her hometown of Calgary, Canada working her Home Staging biz and other creative endeavours.  She's the loving mom of her rescued fur-babies, Finley, Beatrice, and Gwendolyn.

Mariana Williams Tarrago
Secretary & Fundraising

Mariana has over 30+ years of industry and nonprofit executive administrative experience.  Being a lifelong cat lover, she excitedly jumped at the change when offered the opportunity to help homeless cats and educating the public of their plight and how to prevent needless suffering by joining Mission Possible.  She firmly believes that we ALL need to be advocates for the "fur-people" and strives to live by this belief at all times.

While working a full time job, running a household, and helping with Mission Possible, she managed to carve out time to obtain her B.A. degree in Interior Design and is now enjoying a new career in that exciting and creative field.

Mariana lives in the south San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and their two fur-kids, Gray and Cali.

Laura Squiers
Treasurer & Fundraising

Laura Squiers has over 36 years of executive experience in public relations, legislative affairs, and nonprofit management, as well as served on the board of directors for many large Texas nonprofit health, human services, and children advocacy agencies. Serving others in need is what motivates and inspires her to help facilitate beneficial change to ALL societal stakeholders.

Laura joined Mission Possible in late 2023 because not only is she is a strong believer of our mission, but she can personally relate to what we do.  She has rescued several abandoned cats and dogs throughout the years, welcoming some of them to join her family, and suitably rehoming the others.

Laura and her husband live in Lufkin, TX and have three grown daughters.  They are also pet-parents to their rescues Georgie, Mora, Allie, Buddy, and Salem.

Jonathan Gutierrez
