Our Rescue
For over 25 years, our Founder had been tirelessly caring for over 100 homeless and feral cats located in various industrial areas, all while holding down a full time job and using her own personal funds. She trapped these cats to get them spayed and neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, medically treated when necessary, and fed / watered on a daily basis, rain or shine. Some of these cats were friendly strays, but most were very scared ferals who always fled whenever she approached them, yet she loved and cared for them all just as much as she did for her pet cats at home.
In 2017, she was able to fulfill her lifelong dream by setting up an official 501(c)3 nonprofit cat rescue organization and purchased a beautiful rural east Texas homestead with large barn in order to set up an outdoor cat sanctuary for these homeless cats, which was completed with cat-proof fencing. These cats were then safely relocated to the lovely sanctuary and are now living out their lives in peace, comfort, and safety in this free-roaming natural habitat.
With the help of gracious volunteers, we continue to provide them with daily food and clean water, medical care, microchips, vaccines, and shelter year-round. We also provide the less shy ones with much needed love and attention.
Most of the animals we service are feral cats that would not make good pets due to their wild nature, but if we find abandoned cats that are friendly, or kittens that can be tamed, we do all that we can to find them loving and permanent homes. Occasionally, a lost pet will make its way to us. If microchipped, these cats are happily returned to their families.
At Mission Possible, we are passionate about the work we do, and we are determined to make a difference, one furry life at a time.
NOTE: Our sanctuary is currently at maximum capacity - we are not accepting new cats at this time.
